Specifications and Features

The Krogen 42 is one of the few production trawler-style cruising yachts built on a full displacement hull. As such, she displays all the characteristics normally associated with such long-range designs including a comfortable ride, excellent seaworthiness, and the easy-rolling motion typical of any soft-chinned boat. This vessel is stabilized. The Krogen is a particularly salty-looking vessel with a distinct profile and an upright bow. Inside, the focal point of the boat is the functional pilothouse with watch berth located a few steps from the salon level. An extremely popular boat with experienced cruisers, she's been the subject of constant refinements over the years and remains one of the most sought-after models on the used boat market. A single Lehman 135 hp diesel was an upgrade and gives her 2000 plus mile range at 9 knots and a Westerbeke 27 hp get home engine with separate shaft.

Forward below is a nicely-layed out master stateroom, ample storage, port lights and port holes. Aft to starboard is a guest stateroom, good storage and cabinetry. Opposite to port is a head featuring an electric head, large stall shower. Aft up is a large salon with a nicely layed out galley, L-shaped settee and table to starboard, and TV. Steps forward is a large pilothouse with outside doors to port and starboard, nice helm chair, watch berth, and complete electronics. Vessel has AC and heat. Topside is a nicely layed out flybridge, and davit. She has a big boat feel for a 42 boat.

Geoff was so good to work with. He helped me through every aspect of the buying process which I really appreciated. He kept in touch with me through email, phone calls and texts to make sure I understood everything. Very helpful from the minute I landed with directions and support for hotel room and dinner options in the area to the purchasing paperwork, sea trials and finally handing over the money and receiving the keys. He made it very easy for a first time buyer.

I have bought 3 boats from Stan Miller Yachts. 2 were Cabo Yachts that I purchased directly from Stan Miller, and recently I purchased a Viking Yacht where Stan Miller acted as my broker. I am very satisfied with the help and service that I got from Stan Miller and I would happily recommend them! Very professional and very smart.

Stan Miller helped me sell my Grand Banks 36 Classic and purchase a Grand Banks 38 Eastbay. The process was simple and enjoyable thanks to Ian McGhie who went above and beyond to share his vast knowledge and stay engaged with all involved parties until the deals were complete. Thanks Ian and Stan Miller team, I wouldn’t go anywhere else to buy or sell a boat.

Ian was fantastic from start to finish. He was quick to understand my needs and perspective and worked hard on my behalf. He is knowledgeable, has a great working knowledge of boats and the market. I would wholeheartedly recommend him.

It was my first time using Stan Miller Yachts brokerage services. My boat was docked in Mexico. I needed an experienced broker that understood both U.S. Coast Guard and Mexican government procedures. I chose Blake Oversmith. Blake did a great job in working with potential buyers. We had a very rapid closing. Blake stayed in touch to help the transition to the new owner. I highly recommend the Stan Miller team and Blake Oversmith.

Ian, Brad and the Stan Miller Yachts team were wonderful throughout the purchase of my first boat in almost 30 years and first major boat. Ian was patient and happy to answer all my questions and make sure that I understood everything and certainly crossed every “t” and dotted every “i”. I can’t say enough about their integrity, support and expertise. Thanks.
