ROCK'N FISH2008 Cabo 40 Express

Overview

The CABO 40 Express just may be the best-running 40' Sportfisher on the market.  She is a well equipped west coast fishing machine, with a bow rail and center cockpit bait tank .  The helm deck and cockpit total more than 200 square feet and have been carefully designed with maximum offshore angling pursuits in mind.

While not the largest boat in size that ever left the Adelanto, California factory, this project was largest in scale with the amount of time and attention that went into the build process and rigging. "ROCK'N FISH" must truly be seen to appreciate the detail and all that this boat has to offer.

This Boat is held in a transferrable LLC which is available for purchase

Walk Through

The cockpit of the Cabo 40 Express is spacious and well laid out. A large bait-prep center with bait-rigging station, a freezer, and tons of tackle storage make for a great workspace along the forward cockpit. Entrance to the helm deck is to starboard with a small storage space to port with pass through access for gaff storage. Two large in-deck fishboxes with macerator pumps , under- gunwale stowage racks, fresh- and saltwater washdowns, a molded-in transom bait tank, and a transom door and gate make this 100-square-foot cockpit a fully fishable and functional work area.

The beauty of the express layout is that the helm deck feels closer to the cockpit and makes for a perfect blend between cockpit. The center-mounted helm and starboard-side companionway offer a good use of space and keep the helmsman in the thick of the action, whether fishing or socializing. Behind the helm chair to port is the expansive L-shaped lounge with rod storage underneath. To starboard is a longitudinal tackle locker and counter space. A third helm chair is forward on the starboard side.

Below decks, the luxurious richness and feel will comfort the entire crew or family. The 6-foot 3-inch headroom in the cabin adds to a large cabin feel with plenty of space. To port is the enclosed head with large stall shower. An island berth in the bow with numerous lockers, all with Cabo's signature teak grating, makes a warm and comfortable cabin. Guest accommodation the L-shaped settee to starboard hides expansive storage area beneath. The seat back of the straight section lifts on hinges to form a pullman berth. A vertical locker is immediately to starboard in the salon for rod storage outfitted with custom stainless fittings. In addition to the abundant cabinetry space and storage locations, the forward finished bilge serves as additional storage and pump location.

Geoff was so good to work with. He helped me through every aspect of the buying process which I really appreciated. He kept in touch with me through email, phone calls and texts to make sure I understood everything. Very helpful from the minute I landed with directions and support for hotel room and dinner options in the area to the purchasing paperwork, sea trials and finally handing over the money and receiving the keys. He made it very easy for a first time buyer.

I have bought 3 boats from Stan Miller Yachts. 2 were Cabo Yachts that I purchased directly from Stan Miller, and recently I purchased a Viking Yacht where Stan Miller acted as my broker. I am very satisfied with the help and service that I got from Stan Miller and I would happily recommend them! Very professional and very smart.

Stan Miller helped me sell my Grand Banks 36 Classic and purchase a Grand Banks 38 Eastbay. The process was simple and enjoyable thanks to Ian McGhie who went above and beyond to share his vast knowledge and stay engaged with all involved parties until the deals were complete. Thanks Ian and Stan Miller team, I wouldn’t go anywhere else to buy or sell a boat.

Bill T.

Ian was fantastic from start to finish. He was quick to understand my needs and perspective and worked hard on my behalf. He is knowledgeable, has a great working knowledge of boats and the market. I would wholeheartedly recommend him.

It was my first time using Stan Miller Yachts brokerage services. My boat was docked in Mexico. I needed an experienced broker that understood both U.S. Coast Guard and Mexican government procedures. I chose Blake Oversmith. Blake did a great job in working with potential buyers. We had a very rapid closing. Blake stayed in touch to help the transition to the new owner. I highly recommend the Stan Miller team and Blake Oversmith.

David T.

Ian, Brad and the Stan Miller Yachts team were wonderful throughout the purchase of my first boat in almost 30 years and first major boat. Ian was patient and happy to answer all my questions and make sure that I understood everything and certainly crossed every “t” and dotted every “i”. I can’t say enough about their integrity, support and expertise. Thanks.
