The style of the Down East lobster boat is closely associated with Maine’s proud boat building heritage. The Back Cove 30 is a grand example of everything that makes the Down East lobster boat a work of art. She has a traditional spoon bow and her transom is gently sloped: a style that will turn heads in any harbor.

Below the surface she is modern and contemporary. A resin infused, deep-vee hull with propeller recess and standard trim tabs, offers a quiet and comfortable ride. Around the docks, you will appreciate the maneuverability provided by her standard bow thruster and upgraded optional stern thruster. Her deck hardware is as rugged as the coastline she calls home.

Vessel Walkthrough

The Back Cove 30 offers a unique design, with seating for a half dozen guests. Raised seating for the mate and elevated seating on both the port and starboard settees provide excellent views. The port settee and mate's seat convert to an additional L-settee or additional berth. An inlaid wood table provides a spot to eat, play cards or simply socialize.

Below deck is a v-berth layout that converts between a sleeping berth and a seating arrangement, with the filler cushions forming a comfortable bolster (when not in use as a sleeping berth).

Aft of the sleeping/seating area is a galley to starboard, and a head compartment to port.
