Viking 93 Motor Yacht Sea Trials
The new Viking 93 Motor Yacht - the largest Viking ever built - recently completed her sea trials outside of the Viking shipyard in New Jersey (scroll down for video!).
According to news from Viking Yachts, the 93 Motor Yacht "racked up some eye-popping numbers during a sea trial earlier this month, topping out at 27-plus knots with a cruising speed of 23.5 knots." This places the 93 Motor Yacht solidly in a class of top-performing motoryachts - as one would expect from a respected boatbuilder such as Viking. Powered by twin 1,945mhp MTU 12-cylinder engines, the 93MY will have a range of approximately 450 nautical miles, at a 20 to 23 knot cruise. Throttle back to 12 knots, and her range increases to an impressive 730 nautical miles.
The Viking 93 has a treasure trove of spaces to enjoy onboard. With five staterooms, seven heads, ample crew quarters, two salons, a large country kitchen galley and two huge aft deck spaces, there's room for everyone - whether they want to socialize or enjoy some quiet time with a book! Says Pat Healey, Viking President and CEO: "What I like about this boat is the tremendous amount of room you have aft of the forward galley on the main deck and the bridge on the upper deck." We agree!
The Viking 93 Motor Yacht makes her official boat show debut at the Fort Lauderedale International Boat Show, November 1st-5th. Prior to her public debut, she will be shown privately this September at the Viking Dealer Meeting and Sea Trial Event.
